A half-day foundation workshop with immediately usable tools to express yourself with friends and family in a way that improves being heard for what matters.

FULL DESCRIPTION

Often we find ourselves in situations where we our loved ones maybe listening to us in order to respond rather than really hearing what we are trying to say. And of course visa versa. A key component to honesty and connection starts with getting in touch with ones own true needs from a conversation. Once this is clear, it’s easier to directly and compassionately ask for what you want.

In this workshop, you will:

*Learn the four key steps to improve interpersonal communication;
*Identify how tension and emotions in situations are evidence and vital information;
*Practice sourcing and identifying the core needs at the root of issues in communication; and,
*Practice seeking mutually beneficial strategies to resolve issues and increase ease and happiness.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
JODI L WOOLLAM

This workshop is led by Jodi Woollam whose work specializes in conscious communications, personal human development coaching, NVC, needs & emotional literacy, integral theory, and community theatre.

Jodi has also worked on and off stage for over two decades and is Treeline Theatre’s Artistic Director – where the focus is using the ingenuity of theatre to express ones ideas, stories, and celebrate life; with a special emphasis on fostering the inherit creativity of young people.

With a extensive background in corporate and strategic communications, Jodi is also sought for her ability to help simplify as well as write about complex issues and concepts in a way that enhances clarity in communication.
