Formé en 2008 à Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique, PIGS tourne depuis lors pour 9 années de salles combles dans l'Ouest canadien, qui constituera une réelle expérience de perfectionnement. Sur le "LEFT + RIGHT TOUR" de la côte Est de 2017, PIGS apporte un régal épique et rare pour les fans de Pink Floyd à l'Est : le groupe traversera le pays avec la meilleure sélection du catalogue Floyd complet, y compris quelques surprises spéciales d'enregistrements de Floyd en solo. En plus des classiques des albums légendaires comme Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, et The Wall, le groupe présentera également des morceaux rarement joués en direct par Pink Floyd. PIGS représente l’hommage de Pink Floyd le plus authentique du Canada. Ce à quoi vous attendre en assistant au show :

1. Le bon groupe, les bonnes personnes: La plupart des représentations de Pink Floyd sont actées par une seule personne au-devant de la scène, comme Pink Floyd le faisait dans les années 80 et 90. Nous recréons le groupe tel qu'il existait dans les années 1970 et chaque membre de notre groupe dépeint le membre du groupe et fait exactement ce qu'ils auraient fait en direct. Notre Gilmour joue les parties principales de la guitare et chante la moitié des chansons, notre Waters joue parfois de l'acoustique, et oui, nous avons aussi un White Snowy.

2. Le bon équipement : nous essayons de reproduire aussi étroitement que possible les instruments et le backline utilisés par Pink Floyd. Nous utilisons les mêmes amplis, les mêmes guitares,
également les mêmes cables à l’identique. Cela signifie que nous ressemblons au plus près à l’authentique.

3. L'âge exact: nous n'avons pas le même âge que les membres de Pink Floyd, mais le même âge que les Floyd lors de leurs tournées à la fin des années 70. Nous gardons la même fraîcheur, la même dynamique du groupe.

4. L'ère véritable
: nous sommes franchement fatigués des bandes d'hommage qui émulent Pink Floyd comme ils l'étaient lors de la tournée PULSE dans les années 90. Au lieu de cela, nous reproduisons les lumières, les regards et
la sonorité scénique de Floyd dans les années 1970. Bien sûr, nous continuons à jouer des chansons des années 60 et 80, mais nous faisons tout dans l'esprit du groupe alors qu'ils étaient à leur plus créatif
sommet dans les années 1970.

Formed in 2008 in Victoria, British Columbia, PIGS have spent nine years perfecting their craft in front of sold out audiences throughout Western Canada. On their Left + Right East Coast Tour of 2017, PIGS are bringing an epic and rare treat for Pink Floyd fans out East: the band will be crossing the country to perform selections from the entire Floyd catalog, including a few special surprises from Floyd solo records. In addition to classics from legendary albums like Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall, the band will showcase material that has rarely—if ever—been performed live by Pink Floyd. The band and their lighting, sound, and visual designers are all Floyd aficionados and are coming together to create for you an incredible night filled with music, lasers, and the glow of a giant Mr Screen. PIGS is the most authentic Floyd act around, with the right people, equipment, and performances to give you an incredible musical experience you will never forget.

PIGS is Canada's most authentic Pink Floyd tribute. This is what you can expect to see at our show :

1. The right people: Most Pink Floyd acts feature one person as the front-man—much like Pink Floyd did in the 80s and 90s. We recreate the band as they existed in the 1970s, and each member of our band portrays one member of the Floyd and does exactly what they would have done live. Our Gilmour plays the lead guitar parts and sings half the songs, our Waters plays acoustic sometimes, and yes—we have a Snowy White.

2. The right gear: We try to replicate as closely as possible the instruments and backline used by Pink Floyd. We use the same amps, the same guitars—even the same cables. This means we look and sound more like the real thing.

3. The right age: We're not the same age as members of Pink Floyd are now; we're the same average age as the Floyd were on their late 70s tours. We keep the same freshness, the same dynamics of the group.

4. The right era: Frankly, we are tired of tribute bands emulating Pink Floyd as they were on the PULSE tour in the 90s. Instead we replicate the lights, look, and sound of the Floyd's stage show in the 1970s. Of course, we still play songs from the 60s and 80s, but we do everything in the spirit of the band as they were at their creative peak in the 1970s.
